One of Germany’s most prominent and consistent hard rock bands have just announced their next major coup: on 28 October 2013 (Germany: 25 October 2013, USA/Canada: 5 November 2013) Mad Max will be releasing their new album Interceptor, not just its title but also its cover artwork, created by Thomas Ewerhard, alluding to Mel Gibson’s legendary desert car in the movie classic Mad Max. The four musicians, Michael Voss (vocals, lead guitar), Jürgen Breforth (guitar), Roland Bergmann (bass) and Axel Kruse (drums), promise “full throttle from start to finish” and sum up the direction of their new record in just two words: “It rocks!” Or, as guitarist Jürgen Breforth puts it: “Whereas some rock groups become insipid and balladesque with time, we’ve taken the opposite route and deliver nothing but pure energy.”

Two amazing releases will accompany us this late summer: Briefly before the begin of their European tour, Covenant will release their new Longplayer “Leaving Babylon” and the long-missed norwegian Future Pop outfit Pride And Fall resurface with new works: The new Pride And Fal Albumn “Of Lust And Desire” will be released on August 30th.To reduce the time until release for the many fans of both bands, Dependent (www.dependent.de) will make a free download track available from each album for the next two weeks. Covenant show us another glimps of their forthcoming album with the Demo Version of “For Our Time” - a hypnotic centerpiece of “Leaving Babylon”. Pride And Fall will offer “Turn The Lights On”, a driving dancefloor anthem that showcases what lies ahead with the new album.

Sala Bikini, Barcelona, Spain
14th September 2013
MESH, support: UNI.FORM and MEDIEVO
In February 2010 I had the chance to see MESH performing at the above mentioned venue together with a friend. Well, of course we are kind of hardcore fans but furthermore it was a chance for a short holiday trip. Barcelona is a perfect place for sightseeing, so much amazing architecture especially the Gaudi buildings. And as in Germany it still was a dark, cold winter it was a chance to escape the ugliness and enjoy the warm and sunny weather. The venue Sala Bikini is a nice club/ discotheque situated at the main street close to a shopping mall not far from the city centre.
