After 5 long years - THE FLOWER KINGS are back with a new album. They emerged as one of the most famous bands of the early 90´s Prog scene and became one of the leading new icons together with Porcupine Tree, Spocks Beard and Dream Theater. The new album is called "Banks Of Eden" and will be released on June 18th, 2012 in Europe and June 19th in the US via InsideOutMusic. In the light of the album's impending release date, THE FLOWER KINGS are now debuting a medley of the almost 26 mins long opening track "Numbers" via UK's Prog Magazine exclusively here. "Banks Of Eden" was recorded with the band playing live in one room in a studio in January 2012, a recording much like in the old days of classic prog.

Lake Forest, California-based Epic Legendary Black Metal outfit Xanthochroid have released two teaser videos, allowing fans a glimpse inside the creation and sound of their forthcoming debut full-length album titled "Blessed He With Boils." Said Xanthochroid frontman Sam Meador, "Xanthochroid is an Epic Black Metal band that strives to produce the most sophisticated and enthralling compositions in the metal scene today. Taking influence from bands like Emperor, Opeth, Moonsorrow, Wintersun, and many others, Xanthochroid combines many styles into a blackened cloud of legendary metal might. Not for the casual listener, but for the true metal connoisseur who demands more depth, more detail, and more musicality than what is out there today. Xanthochroid's music demands repeat listening and a discerning ear, and we can't wait to release our first full-length masterpiece! I hope this will increase everyone's appetites for some good metal by the end of 2012!"

“The sparkling peaks of musical genius, the darkest depths of talentless crap! All that caught the ear, of the ordinary man!” - If that’s not enough intrigue for you to check out one of England’s hidden indie treasures to make you click on through and check them out, then I don’t know what is. Kartica are pure, British indie, who make music that we thought was long dead in the ‘90s and early ‘00s. If you’re fans of Oasis, The Verve, Kasabian and Editors then these guys are a must for you.

“And now you’re here, you’ve arrived… go catch your dreams, dust child!” These words narrated by a sonorous male voice in the intro of the new album fit hand in glove, as the third long player from German Alternative Rockers Staubkind really feels like finally arriving at a destination after a long journey. The songs are wonderfully consistent, are immediately catchy and bring out the entire bandwidth of emotions in the group’s music in a perfectly balanced interplay of massive walls of sound with fragile intimacy. Featuring a massive production from Unheilig-producer Henning Verlage, Staubkind’s newest outing effectively mingles sensitive moments (like in the hit singles “So nah bei mir” and “Kannst du mich sehn’”) with driving Alternative-Rock-attacks and a moving finale that slowly evolves into an orchestral climax.
