Previously known as Gothic Festival and taking place in Belgium Waregem, the festival changed its name into Shadowplay Festival and also moved location to the expo in Belgium Kortrijk, just a few kilometres away from the old venue.Shadowplay festival was taking place for the first time in 2011 under this name and now is going into the second round, taking place from 13th to 15th July 2012. The line-up is already promising big names. Besides the Shadowplay Festival, also Factory Noise is taking place at the same location.

Century Media Records is proud to announce a worldwide deal with Florida Death Metal icons MASSACRE. The band is resurrected with two of the original band members: band founders Rick Rozz (guitar) and Terry Butler (bass, also in Obituary). The line-up is completed with Ed Webb ((ex-Diabolic, also in Destined To Ruin and Generichrist) on vocals duties and Mike Mazzonetto (ex-Pain Principle) on drums. Everyone who saw the new line-up at recent local shows in Florida or on this year's 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise knows that this is the ultimate line-up to continue the band's legacy with a new album! The first 2 songs, called 'Back From Beyond' and 'Succumb To Rapture', are already recorded at CGM Studios in Florida and will be released as a 7" this August 2012 in time for MASSACRE live at Wacken Open Air in Germany (followed by more shows to be announced soon).

German thrash icons KREATOR have revealed the cover art of the limited edition of the bands upcoming album „Phantom Antichrist“. Commented mainman, guitarist and singer Mille Petrozza: „Jan Meininghaus, who did this one is a cover artist form my hometown, Essen, Germany. I really love the artwork he came up with for the limited edition. It's pure mayhem, powerful and dark!“ „Phantom Antichrist“ will be out June 1, 2012 via Nuclear Blast Records. The limited edition of „Phanrom Antichrist“ will be released as 2disc digipack including a bonus DVD.
