Bands reforming can be a tricky thing, but when the news got out that SKUNK ANANSIE got back together in 2009 I was still really excited. And even more excited after listening to their new album ‘Wonderlustre’ which was released in 2010. They managed to keep their characteristic Skunk sound without repeating their old work. The band is about to release their 6th studio album ‘Black Traffic’ in September and will start their European tour in November. English rock band SKUNK ANANSIE formed in March 1994 with members Skin, Cass, Ace and Mark. They became known to the big public amongst others with their singles ‘Weak’ and ‘Charity’. The band was named as one of the most successful UK chart acts between 1952 and 2003 by the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles & Albums in 2004. SKUNK ANANSIE disbanded in 2001 and successfully got back together since 2009. Seeing SKUNK ANANSIE at the Lowlands festival in 2011, I am happy to conclude that their live shows still have what it takes (and much more!) so definitely don’t miss out on this one at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam!
