Blue Stahli Charity Event Becomes Immediate Success - Supports Free Arts for Abused Children
Detroit, MI - Independent artist Blue Stahli (aka Bret), is leading a charity campaign this week (Aug 29 - Sept 4) to raise support and awareness for not only his debut album, but for donations to Free Arts for Abused Children, which is a cause that hits close to home and that Bret is passionate about. Using a Pay-What-You-Want Model ($1.99 minimum) powered by Fan-It from the recent start-up YAWMA with 25% of all donations going to Charity, fans can snag up the 10-track debut Blue Stahli album, along with 2 bonus tracks, including an alt acoustic version of a track plus an unreleased instrumental track from an upcoming album.

Guano Apes
I think we all (or at least those of my age) remember their first hit ‘Open Your Eyes’ in 1997, where some of us had to listen, look and check twice if it was really this skinny girl having such a big voice. They broke up after 10 years in 2005, but got back together in 2009 to work on a new album. In 2011/2012, the GUANO APES will hit the stage again to promote their new album.

Royal Republic + support
After seeing this band on a wasted Sunday morning at the Lowlands festival just a few days ago, their energetic show makes me curious what else they have in store in a full show. Fortunately, they will be playing some more in the Netherlands over the next few months.

Subway to Sally & Megaherz
German band SUBWAY TO SALLY was already founded at the beginning of the 90s. In the course of time their style as well as the language of the texts changed: If they were in the beginning a Middle Ages Rock band, their music was later influenced by Folk and Metal elements. In the meantime, all texts of them are exclusively German-speaking - earlier they still sang in English, Latin and also in Gaelic.

Just a few weeks ago we shared the experience of celebrating the 7th Amphi Festival together at the Tanzbrunnen Cologne. 16.000 attendants from all over the world turned that incredible weekend into THE event of the dark festival summer! Unfortunately this summer turned out to be much darker than usual, with almost no festival passing along without at least one major rainstorm. And the Amphi had not been spared though. Thanks to its solid pavement, the rain sheltered main stage, the additional programme at the Theater stage and the newly introduced festival café at the Staatenhaus, it had proven capable again to offer an uncompromised festival experience, even while St. Peter opened up his flood gates!
