There will be a single German show of this 80s icon! And it takes place on 2nd July 2016 in Cologne! With ‘Time after Time’, CYNDI LAUPER became a world star in 1983 and claimed golden status with her debut album ‘She’s So Unusual’ in Germany. Other hits like ‘Girls Just Want To Have Fun’, ‘She Bop’, ‘All Through The Night’,’ True Colors’ and ‘Change Of Heart’ underlined her status was exciting Pop artist. With her eleventh studio album, ‘Detour’, released in May 2016 via Sire Records, she turned towards her Country roots.
Five songs of her first album became chart hits in Germany, among others ‘Time After Time’ (#6), ‘Girls Just Want To Have Fun’ (#6) and ‘She Bop’ (#19). Before her success, she toured with cover bands through the USA, caused a stir with her extravagant outfits and formed the band BLUE ANGELS and of the seventies. First bigger success finally happened when ‘Girls Just Want To Have Fun’ became a MTV hit. In 1986, she released her second album, ‘True Colors’, whose title song made it to number one in the US charts. In 1988, she debuted as actress in the movie ‘Vibes’ before releasing her third album ‘A Night to remember’ in 1989.
