28th October 2008
WAYNE HUSSEY

His guitar was (beside Mr. Eldritch’s voice) that mainly influencing element of the "older-days" of SISTERS OF MERCY and with THE MISSION he occupied the pantheon of Goth and Wave Rock determinedly and confidently and became (among the mentioned SISTERS OF MERCY and THE FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM) by songs like ‘Deliverance’, ‘Wasteland’ and ‘Butterfly on a Wheel’ an icon and a mainstay for generations of following bands.

Since the split of THE MISSION in 2007, Wayne Hussey was working on new songs and now he’s touring with his debut ‘Bare’, what became a sonic jewel, full of profundity, sound and emotion (or in Mr. Hussey’s own words: "...the mood is like torch songs, late at night after a couple of bottles of red and having just been dumped by the love of your life"...). http://www.k17.de/.

For the European shows Wayne will be joined by cellist Dave Wesling. You can expect a concert in a family atmosphere with a bunch of old and new THE MISSION songs and some cover versions.
