Every year anew in January, the sound wizard Daniel Myer (Haujobb, Covenant, Destroid, Architect etc) invites friends, music colleagues, press representatives and of course numerous fans and admirers of electronic music into the cellar of Leipzig’s Moritzbastei to celebrate the Planet Myer Day together. In 2009, this spectacle enters its already 7th round, starting with the newcomers T.A.N.K who will fairly boost the audience with their mixture of Old-school EBM with almost Metal-like song structures. Further on it goes with Berlin’s Tower Crane operators PATENBRIGADE:WOLFF who are on the best way to get a similar cult status as FEINDFLUG once had with their club hits ‘Demokratischer Sektor’ and ‘Stalinallee’.
Last but not least the youngest of Daniel Myer’s numerous projects DESTROID will perform a set full of power and energy with which the troop around Daniel Myer will definitely proof that DESTROID is also a worthy live successor of the cult project HAUJOBB and ever since the successful second instalment ‘Loudspeaker’ filling the dance floors nationwide the tracks ‘Bird of Prey’, ‘Revolution’ or ‘Friend or Foe’ there can be no serious doubt about that.
Besides several special guests, there’ll also be an exclusive merchandize booth, where you can also get the PATENBRIGADE:WOLFF albums which are usually available as expensive Russian imports only + there’ll still be some - also musical - surprises for the audience which are still top secret. Certain is that DJ M.A.M (San Diego Tanznacht, Sputnik, Insomnia) closes the evening with one of his DJ sets and DJ Mad with his project LICHTVERSCHMUTZUNG provides the corresponding visuals, so you can look forward to a long night with lots of great music in adequate atmosphere.
