Christmas Ball 2009: Front 242 (Hanover only), Covenant, Suicide Commando, Welle:Erdball, Destroid
Following two very successful years at Hanover’s Capitol where the event had grown to a very popular alternative to typical Christmas activities, the Christmas ball for the first time embarks on a tour through Germany in its third year.
The Christmas caravan stops on 25th December at Cologne’s Wartesaal, on 26th December at the Posthalle in Würzburg, and on 27th December closes traditionally at
Hanover’s Capitol! During that time, you’ll be offered a colourful live program to shed redundant pounds. This year’s opener will be DESTROID pending between modern future pop and old school they don’t like to get categorized. The program continues with another specialist in dynamic live performances and that is WELLE:ERDBALL. They will take you on a ride back in time with their retro sounds, but most of all they will rile you up so you dance your asses off. Don’t you think you’ll be able to take a break now, because also the next act will be putting beads of sweat on your body: SUICIDE COMMANDO from Belgium will cover the venues in a flood of beats and harsh vocals and cause the masses to dance all over the place.For all friends of sophisticated electronic music, the next band is a must see! COVENANT, headlining last year’s edition and setting the venue in Hanover on fire, will also close this year’s festivals on 25th and 26th December. On 27th December, they will be the co-headliner. The exclusive headliner in Hanover is going to be the Belgian EBM legend FRONT 242 blessing the festival’s attendees with a firework of their biggest hits. Following up the live program is the big after show party with DJ Elvis (The Memphis), DJ Frank and DJ Dirni in Cologne who invite you to the “Sleepwalker’s Night”, while in Hanover DJ Elvis and DJane Jeanny provide dance floor fodder until early morning.
