IAMX, Noblesse Oblige
IAMX in Cologne. Last time we had that pleasure I witnessed with my own eyes how even the Cologne audience could go berserk to a live show. Now, and after the release of the new album ‘Volatile Times’, Chris Corner and company were paying Cologne another visit and as expected the place in front of the venue was pretty crowded.

Paradise Lost, Ghost
‘Draconian Times’ is deemed THE PARADISE LOST record by many fans. If there’s an announcement then, saying there’s going to be a tour honouring that release on its 16th anniversary where the record is being played in its entirety you bet those shows are packed with fans. As was the case in Bochum being a sold-out show!

Alphaville
ALPHAVILLE are known by early and worldwide successes with songs like ‘Big in Japan’ and most notably ‘Forever Young’. That, however, was just the tip of the iceberg of what the project was able to achieve. They were destined to push their own boundaries after the success was subsiding a bit. At least for a few people that is much more important than riding on a wave of commercial success forever! So it came to pass that with ‘The Breathtaking Blue’ from 1989 the stylistic repertoire was expanded with currents of Blues, Classical music or Jazz, an evolution that continued with the release of the follow-up ‘Prostitute’ in 1994. Following their ‘Salvation’ it got awfully quiet around them, but suddenly in 2010, ALPHAVILLE were back with a band and the new album ‘Catching Rays On Giant’.

Alphaville
Tuesday it was finally time to see ALPHAVILLE back on stage! After all the years I was already very curious how the band would sound like now… In 1981, the German Synth-Pop band was founded by Marian Gold and Bernhard Lloyd as an artist's group under the name NELSON COMMUNITY. Then in 1983, the band was renamed after the film of the same name by Jean-Luc Godard into ALPHAVILLE.
