ASP - Dunkelromantische Winternächte
Two years after “Von Zaubererbrüdern, schwarzen Schmetterlingen und anderen Nachtgestalten - Dunkelromantische Herbstabende”, ASP asked their guests to take their places for the gathering of “the ensemble” once again. This time, the tour was called “Von Zaubererbrüdern - Dunkelromantische Winternächte” and was sold out as fast as one can imagine - just like the last unplugged tour in 2008.

Christmas Ball 2010: Fields of the Nephilim, Project Pitchfork, Laibach, Agonoize, Faderhead
Well, after Christmas the biggest problem for many is how to get away the unnecessary weight added during the holidays with all the delicious stuff on the table. The Christmas Ball right after the weekend offered a perfect opportunity to do just that with the help of a couple of top-class acts. But first the mission was to get there at all over icy streets which we luckily succeeded doing and following a few complications with finding the entrance we could escape the cold and get into the warmth of the theatre to spend the time we had until the first band of the evening would enter the stage.

Unheilig, VNV Nation, Apoptygma Berzerk, Diary of Dreams, Waves Under Water
We were closing the year up with a very special event which was the mega event Unheilig & Friends. When I reached the venue, the queue was still incredibly long, even though the doors were already open a while. I started wondering how many already had gotten inside.

BIM Fest 2010: DAF, Laibach, The Kids, The Bollock Brothers, Twice A Man, Autodafeh, De Brassers, Sturm Café, Din[A]Tod, Emotional Violence
This time we were more lucky than last year and just as planned and hoped we were travelling to Belgium for the 2010 edition of BIM Fest after the weather upset our plans in 2009. Without any marked events we reached the place where the festival was going to happen a bit early but found a good solution for passing the time until the doors were to open.

Thrashfest: Kreator, Exodus, Death Angel, Suicidal Angels
It was a snow-covered afternoon in December and already on the way to Gießen, we met the first attendees of the THASHFEST in the train. And although the snow had blocked the routes for quite a while, still many people were queuing in front of the venue at six pm, shortly before the doors would open. Even though it was starting to snow again, this did not prevent the mostly male people of drinking beer and getting ready for an evening full of fast and aggressive music.
