With Full Force Festival Day 2: Illdisposed, Job for a cowboy, Entombed, Heaven Shall Burn, Six Feet Under, In Flames
Since the first day was pretty rainy, we were all happy that this day was way better. The sun was shining, and everybody was running towards the lake close to the festival. After a short night of sleep the day started with some bands I didn’t really know. So, the day held a lot of surprises for us!

Amphi Festival Day 1 Theatre Stage: Noisuf-X, Nachtmahr, Grendel, Ashbury Heights, Haujobb, Tactical Sekt, Rotersand, The Klinik, CombiChrist
While the main stage on the first day offered a mixed program, the second stage was totally in the hand of the electro bands. So, HAUJOBB celebrated their very last show there - much too early if you ask me - and with THE KLINIK you got another old-school act. But there was also place for the newer generation with bands like ROTERSAND or COMBICHRIST.

Female-fronted metal bands are very popular in Europe and with the ascending amount of female-fronted metal bands both debuting and touring in the U.S., the U.S. metal scene was begging for an all female-fronted metal festival. With the Doro tour coming to St. Paul in 2007, Nathan "The SwordLord" Block of SwordLord Productions considered it was the perfect occasion to lauch the first ever FLIGHT OF THE VALKYRIES metal festival - the ONLY US festival dedicated to metal bands with female lead vocalists, with the help of Bobbie Jean Dickerson.

Amphi Festival Day 1 Main Stage: Mina Harker, Cinderella Effect, Zeromancer, Welle:Erdball, Zeraphine, Covenant, Deine Lakaien, Oomph!
The weather forecast promised nothing good but the man up in the clouds showed some sympathy for all the Gothic people gathering at the Tanzbrunnen in Cologne for the fourth Amphi Festival. This time, the festival was totally sold out with about 12,000 people each day and so, it was partly pretty packed. Anyway, all the fans of dark music were celebrating a festival with a peaceful and friendly attitude that doesn’t fit to their dark look at first sight. With 34 bands on 2 stages - Open Air as well as in the theatre - the fest offered anything for anyone. The main stage on the first festival day was headlined by OOMPH! who will release their new album soon. Furthermore such big names like DEINE LAKAIEN or COVENANT were on the bill besides some newcomers. [DV]

Waldrock seemed very promising this year. They had managed to gather a great line-up. The weather however seemed to be very poor. On the day of the pre-party the weather turned and it became a wonderful weekend. Maybe 20 minutes of rain but nothing drastic. It was time for some old rockers, some new rockers and even some crazy rockers. As every year the locals stood in front of the gate to look at all these metal head coming and going to the festival grounds. They got to see a lot of smiling faces this year!
