W-Fest 2022 Day 4 with Cutting Crew, Londonbeat, Arrested Development, Deacon Blue, Cock Robin, ABC, Tony Hadley, Del Amitri and UB40
Today, I expected a lot for me. There were several artists I liked to see… starting with CUTTING CREW and LONDONBEAT, going in with TONY HADLEY and ending quite late with UB40. So could the performances meet my expectations? We would see. At least the weather was really nice again, sunny, some clouds, not too warm with only three drops of rain during TONY HADLEY. One could say perfect festival weather.

W-Fest 2022 Day 3 with Jo Lemaire, Heather Nova, Stereo MC’s, The Proclaimers, Kid Creole & The Coconuts, Level 42, Jeanne Mas and Alphaville
Back again on the beach for day three. Since we are coming closer to the weekend now I expected more people to attend the festival. Weather was a bit cloudy still in the morning, bit the forecast did not look too bad. I was looking forward to seeing HEATHER NOVA again… saw her before and it was always great. I was also curious about LEVEL 42 and especially about ALPHAVILLE. Seen very different show in the past - from terrible to very good - and I was wondering how the Germans would perform today.

Toto - “The Dogz of Oz” Tour 2022
They are pop culture and are one of the few 1970s bands that have endured the changing trends and styles continuing to remain relevant while enjoying their multi-generational global fan base. We are talking about the American band TOTO. On Tuesday, the legendary band around Steve Lukather and Joseph Williams were back in Luxembourg to delight the many visitors who found their way to the Rockhal on this warm summer day.

W-Fest 2022 Day 2 T’Pau, The Animals, Soulsister, Paul Carrack, Lightning Seeds, xPropaganda and Squeeze
Back on the festival ground for the second day. The day did not start too early at 13:00 with good weather and we were already eager to see lots of cool bands, most of them I haven’t seen so far at all. Highlight was probably the concert of XPROPAGANDA. Opener of the Thursday were T’PAU. Luckily, it stayed dry during the whole day, even though it became quite windy and chilly at the evening. Jacket was a good idea.

W-Fest 2022 Day 1 with The Kids, Nits, Fiction Factory, Big Country, Scritti Politti, Anne Clark & Bauhaus
Last year, the W-Fest has moved from Waregem to the Klein Strand in Oostende, directly at the beach. This year, the festival was taking place once more at the “Small Beach” in Oostende, extended to five days now. The first day offered such heroes like ANNE CLARK and BAUHAUS. The festival once more offered a fabulous line-up. Fancy five days of sun, sea and the best music of the 80s and 90s. There were some special performances during the festival. I.e., I think of BAUHAUS or FICTION FACTORY and ANNE CLARK.
