Alphaville - “Forever Young” Tour 2019 - Support: Ina West
‘Forever Young’, this title accompanies ALPHAVILLE singer and founder Marian Gold not only since the uber hit (and debut album title) in 1984, which, together with ‘Big in Japan’ and ‘Sounds Like a Melody’, belongs to ALPHAVILLE’s success hymns which today still are played on the radio, FOREVER YOUNG was also the name of Gold’s band founded in 1982 with Bernd Lloyd and Frank Mertens, the forerunner of ALPHAVILLE. And looking back today, ALPHAVILLE is indeed “forever young” - Marian Gold’s distinctive voice sounds fresh as ever on the current album, ‘Strange Attractor’. And “Forever Young” is also the name of ALPHAVILLE’s tour in March and April 2019.

An Evening of Rock Classics with Timo Kotipelto, Jani Liimatainen, Pekka Heino, Netta Skoog
Timo Kotipelto (STRATOVARIUS, CAIN’S OFFERING) and Jani Liimatainen (CAINS’S OFFERING, THE DARK ELEMENT, Ex-SONATA ARCTICA) have made an album called ‘Blackoustic’ a few years ago, followed by a tour and I got the chance to attend one of the shows. The evening left me really impressed and when they announced a tour together with Pekka Heino (BROTHER FIRETRIBE) and Netta Skoog (Ex-ENSIFERUM) it was time to take the train to Hämeenlinna to attend the final show.

Sólstafir - “The Midnight Sun: A Light In The Storm” Tour
A very special concert awaited the approximately 1,000 visitors of the Christuskirche in Bochum on this Thursday evening. However, anyone who thinks of a gospel choir or an organ requiem at a Protestant church could not be more wrong. Instead, SÓLSTAFIR had announced their arrival from Iceland. Those gentlemen who have referred to themselves in the past as “Antichristian Icelandic Heathen Bastards”. Therefore, it was not surprising that the band’s founder, singer and guitarist Aðalbjörn Tryggvason, also said that he had never imagined he could ever play in a German church.
