The reincarnation of DARKPLAIN as a duo was inspired by the quote from the song ‘Alleine Zu Zweit’ by LACRIMOSA: “Dance, my Life. Dance!” But in difference to the heroes of that song, Rayne Grocks and Walla Letizia didn’t feel lonely together at all, they are united by music. Just in two weeks after the decision to found the band, the musicians recorded the first song. DARKPLAIN is influenced mostly by Veronika Fischer and DEPECHE MODE, what reflexes as pure sincerity and warmth on their debut album ‘Breath’. The vocalist of the band Walla Letizia got used to sing in chorus, but she didn’t like being the first voice. However, she let her powerful clean voice blossom out on the DARKPLAIN’s record. As for the second member of the band, Rayne, he still composes the songs on the old guitar, which his neighbour gave him, as Rayne was a little boy. Together they create light quite nice guitar music. The interlacement of Walla’s and Rayne’s voices telling a dozen touching love stories on the album. Calm, sweet and almost childish naïve melodies can be great musical accompany to some romantic evening as well as friends’ meeting.
