Album Review

Who ever knew that Satan himself A.K.A. the Devil had his own driver? In this case it's true, the five founding members Dez Fafara, Mike Spreitzer, Jeff Kendrick, Jon Miller, and John Boecklin have come together in establishing the mighty force of DEVIL DRIVER. With three albums tossed to the side what else is there left for the devils to conjure up? Perhaps a fourth album with high quality style and sound engraved ‘Pray for Villains’, an album intended for the goodness of evil. Thirteen tracks you know you’re in for a treat whenever that number comes into play.

Opening with a huge intensity so strong it’s unbearable to listen, but DEVIL DRIVER's groovy metal tactics balance it all out with ‘Back with a Vengeance’, a vintage take on of White Zombie's style. Uplifting the evilness just a bit but it still lingers in the air when it comes strolling down ‘Resurrection Blvd.’, a guitar mix-up of misleading riffs with out-raging solos to match the pressure of the drumming tempos calling it insanity all along. ‘Bitter Pill’ places that mental insanity into relaxation mode featuring one of the most playful riffs offered. So in other words, are you ready for the madness? I know I’ am.
