With seven headliners, big names and interesting newcomers, the program of the Hurricane and Southside twin festivals already offers a high-class image of the international music scene. Now the organizer FKP Scorpio confirms further acts for the festivals that take place from June 19 to 21 in Scheeßel and Neuhausen ob Eck.SUM 41 have sold over 15 million albums worldwide and are far from complete. Their last album shot back into the top ten, and the Punk icons are still a guarantee for intensive concerts on the stages of the world. Only at the Hurricane, Sam Fender will be on stage. He has topped the UK charts with intensive songwriting and soulful Indie Rock shortly after starting his career. It is also home to the BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB quartet, who have brand new songs in their luggage and play exclusively on the Southside. MODESELEKTOR convince with pure, electronic sounds live on stage. The Berlin duo acts as a producer, DJ and live act, and their mix of Techno, Hip Hop and Electro is legendary in many clubs in and outside the capital.
Back to the island: This is where CATFISH AND THE BOTTLEMEN from North Wales are causing a sensation, whose driving Indie rock is as successful as it was created for the stage. The Irish guys from FONTAINES D.C., whose innovative understanding of Post Punk BBC 6 and Rough Trade were worth an album-of-the-year award. Not much needs to be said about the boys from FRITTENBUDE: their shows on the Hurricane and Southside are legendary; their Electro Punk has long since conquered the entire German-speaking world.
FIL BO RIVA, a master of quieter tones, comes to Scheeßel and Neuhausen ob Eck. However, his melancholy, which is somewhere between Folk and Soul, has a power that does not let anyone stand still live. In many ways, this also applies to the OH WONDER duo, whose finely constructed songs originally conquered the world without a label or plan. The Canadians of HALF MOON RUN have also managed to do this, their complex harmonies and genreless songwriting having illustrious fans like MUMFORD & SONS.
Another collective of DJs and producers is at the start with KOLLEKTIV TURMSTRASSE. Their sets are made for live situations and combine driving beats with melodic highlights. SCHROTTGRENZE play only on the Eichenring in Scheeßel, one of the few Indie bands whose work really does justice to the associated aesthetics. Since 1994 they have shown how colourful and stirring music can be. HOT MILK also do a lot differently and are therefore successful: the powerful power Pop from the Manchester formation has produced anthems that are best experienced live.

Hurricane tickets are available for EUR 199.00 incl. presale fee via hurricane.de and eventim.de or by phone at +49 (0) 1806 / 853 333 (20 cents/call, mobile max. 60 cents/call). The one-time arrival and departure with the Metronom trains is included in the ticket price - transport conditions at hurricane.de. Guests arriving with caravan, trailer, or similar vehicle, require a badge to get access to the festival-own trailer park. The badges are only available online at the festival website and via phone hotline for EUR 60.00 per vehicle.
