pialund giftWhen the strings set in and a heavenly voice begins to sing you know you're in Pia Lund's world. This is "Arthur" starting the heroine's long lost "Gift" album. Due to be released in 2000, the Major company held it back; later, in 2001, the renowned remix cd "La FolieAngélique" used some of the material presenting remixes by acclaimed artists like René Tinner, Phillip Boa, To Rococo Rot, Console, Kreidler, Hans Nieswandt or Rockers HiFi.

"Gift" was the follow-up to cult singer Pia Lund's first solo album "Lundaland" after her years with The Voodooclub. Both albums were produced by Swiss producer René Tinner (Can, Lou Reed) in the legendary Can Studios near Cologne. Utterly sought-after for sixteen years, "Gift" features digital swamp rockers like "Ann Sissy", yearning love songs like "Arthur" or vamp-like temptations like "Try You Out" – electronic pop music at its best! Finally, fans can listen to the original version of "Der Himmel", the thrilling pop anthem "Summer Is Over" and the dreamy "Somewhere". Highly recommended!
