MASTODON confirmed

Just before Easter we have a particularly delicious egg for the SUMMER BREEZE 2015 basket: MASTODON! Hailing from the birthplace of Coca-Cola, Atlanta, MASTODON have never played our festival before, and this is something that needs to be changed. With each album this unique band have refined their distinctive style of progressive sludge metal rock, making it both catchier and more original. The biggest highlight of their exceptional musical career to day is their latest album 'Once More 'Round The Sun', which even gained the band a Grammy nomination for the song 'High Road' and was at the top of all year-end polls in the metal press. And rightfully so, as it represents the perfect mix between the complex song structures of their beginnings and the memorable, gripping choruses of their last two records. Look forward to a very special highlight in SUMMER BREEZE history and witness MASTODON presenting proof that complex music and catchy tunes are not mutually exclusive.

MIDGE URE is coming on tour! "Breathe Again" in Germany! An artist who has received Ivor Novello, Grammy, BASCAP awards along with a flotilla of gold and platinum records, really needs very little introduction. Musical success is seldom measured in time spans of more than a few years, if not Andy Warhol's often quoted “fifteen minutes”, so the fact that by the time Midge's single ‘If I Was’ went to No1 in 1985 he had already crammed several musical lifetimes into a 10 year professional career speaks volumes - SLIK, THE RICH KIDS, THIN LIZZY, VISAGE, ULTRAVOX and of course the most famous one off group in musical history Band Aid had by then all had the guiding hand of his musical navigation.

Italian symphonic gothic metal band Fenix Tales has revealed Title, Cover Art and Video of their new album titled "The Abyss eye"; the album artwork was done by italian artist Andrea Sortino. Fenix Tales are currently in the studio "Orbit Studio" (Florence, Italy) finishing their upcoming full-length album. The new album is currently set to be released within the next couple months. After THERION, LOVELORN DOLLS, OOMPH!, THE FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM and KILLING JOKE, the Belgian doom metal / wave / industrial festival EUROROCK announces 2 more names in the metal genre: The legendary British doom metal act ANATHEMA and the German symphonic metal band XANDRIA! Both bands will be playing on Saturday May 16th. ANATHEMA will be bringing material from their 2014 album "Distant Satellites", their 10th, which was released on 9 June 2014 via Kscope. XANDRIA will be performing live with Dutch Ex Libris singer Dianne van Giersbergen!

It is not easy to get original albums of Stendal Blast. The debut album "Was verdorrt" from 1995 is almost completely sold out. The third album of the band, "Morgenrot", has become a sought pearl, for a lot money needs to be placed on the table. And the situation has not improved since the band, led by singer and songwriter Kaaja Hoyda, has completed the project in October 2013 after more than 20 years of creative time.
