Helsinki based Goth’n’Rollers THE 69 EYES will start celebrating their 25th anniversary by starring in the Finnish reality TV show called “Tavallista Elämää” (Ordinary Life). The show focuses on the band’s singer Jyrki 69 & drummer Jussi69 among four other Finnish celebrities (a professional fitness model couple, a lawyer & a Playboy model) but follows the whole band on the road on their recent tours. The TV trailer for the show is available on YouTube – check it out through this link: http://youtu.be/ZLVNvmBKH-g

UK Metal titans DRAGONFORCE are nearing completion of their sixth studio album entitled 'Maximum Overload'. Produced by Jens Bogren at Fascination Studios in Örebro and Varberg, Sweden, the new opus will be the band’s first ever album involving an outside producer, having historically opted to record themselves in association with Karl Groom. Maximum Overload will be the band’s debut album for new label earMUSIC, part of the German Edel music group, who will release the album in the UK onAugust 18th and in Germany on August 15th.

This weekend, the German Epic Metal outfit EQUILIBRIUM announced unexpectedly the leaving of founding members Sandra Van Eldik (bass) and Andreas Völkl (guitar). Andreas and Sandra have released following statements on their facebook sites:

"Dear family, friends, fans and crew,
I would like to tell you my decision, that my sister Sandra and I left the band Equilibrium. With all of you together, and more than a decade, I had the most beautiful concerts and tours, an exciting time in my life that I do not want to miss. Happieness and sorrow, line-up changes of all kinds, there was always something going on. René, Robse, Hati and crew, thank you for the nice time. I wish you all the best, go full blast! Every end is a new beginning. There will be a new band for me, which I will stay with you, musically and on stage.
