After the release of "The Grandiose Nowhere" in 2010 and the following tour in 16 countries around the globe, including destinations like South America, China or Spain, where the band experienced unforgettable memories and groundbreaking events, the guys revolving around mastermind Oliver Niklas took a break to concentrate on the arrangements for songs on the new album. Beneath festivalgigs in WACKEN, the MERA LUNA Festival, ARTmania, the WGT and many others, the band has been working hard on the 10th studioalbum, wich will be released in May 2013, which is the 20th anniversary of the band. In addition, Napalm and LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE renewed their co-operation with a new record-deal.

With the new EP 'The Last Dance' (Dependent / Alive), the electro heads of Covenant are promising big for June. After the band already released snippets of the title track on Facebook, now the EP follows with four new songs and two remixes. According to the band, you'll hear “majestic synths, quirky noises, unexpected harmonies, scary singing machines, fog horns, massive beats and of course Eskil’s incomparable vocals”. For Autumn, COVENANT - now a 100% Swedish band again - announced the new long-player 'Leaving Babylon' as well as a big tour through Europe. And here's the band's statement:

On 22nd May 2013, with 'Delta Machine', DEPECHE MODE will release their 13th studio album via their new label Sony Music. The first single 'Heaven' was entering German charts on position two. Now, the band will release a second single, 'Soothe my Soul'. The track was introduced on the band's appearance at “Live On Letterman“ webcast at Ed Sullivan Theater in New York on 11th March 2013. Finnish HIM will release their new album 'Tears On Tape' in Germany via Universal Music on 26th April 2013 and vial Razor & Tie Records in North America on 30th April 2013. The new album is the “Love Metal” band’s eighth official album and was recorded in their home country with long-time producer Hiili Hiilesmaa and mixed by long time-band associate, Tim Palmer (U2, Ozzy Osbourne, Pearl Jam, Robert Plant). Formed in 1992 by vocalist Ville Valo, guitarist Mikko “Linde” Lindström, and bassist Mikko “Migé” Paananen, HIM’s previous albums have seen them win a worldwide following, becoming the first Finnish act to achieve platinum sales in the U.S. To date, HIM has sold a combined 1.75 million albums and over 1 million digital tracks in North America. HIM’s current lineup is Valo(Vocals), Linde (Guitars), Migé (Bass), Burton (Keyboards), and Gas (Drums).

UK-based melodic metallers CODE OF SILENCE are offering a free download of the track 'Tame The Tempest'. The song is taken from the band's debut album 'Dark Skies Over Babylon' which has already received glowing reviews. This track is now available as a free download for signing up to the band's Reverbnation mailing list. Just go to Reverbnation. The track started out as a piece written by guitarist Ben Randall and ended up a collaboration with Paul Logue (Eden's Curse) and Pete Newdeck (Eden's Curse, Tainted Nation). Get Ready to ROCK! reviewer Alan Jones wrote about the track: "an opportunity for Randall to thrust himself forward as the new guitar hero for the next generation. Plenty of raw meat for guitar wannabes to get their teeth into and an absolute shoo-in for Riff Of The Year."
