Burn - Farewell show for the leaving band members
Münster based Rock band BURN already exists for 17 years now and in this long time, there were many ups and downs. During the last few year, there were surely more ups than downs. Times of being just a regional act are over and BURN are a welcomed guest on stages of the big scene festivals like Blackfield Festival or the Wave Gotik Treffen. Besides, BURN were also touring with such bands like UNHEILIG or SCHANDMAUL.
With ‘The Truth’ (2011) and ‘Black Magnolia’ (2012), BURN released two successful albums on Blind Records, being critically acclaimed by the press. The vocals of band founder Felix Friberg are often compared with Robert Smith of THE CURE and even though there are similarities, Felix’ vocals are often rockier and more catchy than the ones of the English cult band. BURN especially can convince with their live shows showing the band very likeable with lots of joy in playing and close contact to their fans.
Since 1996 there were many chapters in the band history and now, another new chapter is starting. Guitarist Sven Krachten and drummer Jörg Schwaer are leaving the band to concentrate musically and privately on other things after Felix Flögel already left the band. Since the band is friendly splitting up, there will be a farewell show for the leaving band members on 10th July in their home town Münster. The job on bass will be taken by Jonas Furchert, who already accompanied the band during the last shows. Felix Friberg will continue with BURN with a different line-up.
To celebrate the spirit of a farewell concert, the band has a special concept according to the entrance fees: Instead of a fixed entrance fee you can pay as much as you like. So, concert visitors can decide how much this special concert is worth for them. And of course you can not only pay before the show, you can also donate afterwards. Be sure that BURN will really be on fire for this show! You should not miss it!
