Mülheim’s Castle Rock festival, meanwhile advanced to cult status, enters its 13th year in 2012 and also in the new year will come up with a top line-up leaving nothing to be desired for fans of darkly romantic rock music and brachial sounds. Both days offer more guitar based bands this year. And something special: ASPs von Zaubererbrüdern. The headlining act for this year's Castle Rock festival will play their first and as far as 2012 goes only live show.

A tongue-in-cheek humor and inklings of self-irony are also trademarks of Rummelsnuff’s lyrics, set to his “derbe Strommusik” (=raw electric music.) Right on time for ascension day 2012, the traditional day for celebrating manhood in Germany, the charming strong man’s third opus will hit the shops. An album for men… and sympathizers. The album has been aptly titled “Himmelfahrt” (=ascension day) and is even more versatile than its predecessors… ranging from the Electro-Rockabilly-mix of “Türsteher”, the smashing electronic anthem to Berlin’s famous Berghain club “Machen wir den Tanz!”, the Electro-Punk of “Derbe Strommusik”, right down to unplugged bare bones Sea Shanties like “Trägt die Woge dein Boot”, that warm the heart with everyday stories and maritime metaphors.

Chris Ninni, one of the singers for the global metal project Empires of Eden makes his major TV debut as contestant on the show The Voice. The show prides itself on revealing the true talent of the unsigned world. Chris has appeared on all Empires of Eden’s releases including the debut Songs of War and Vengeance and 2010′s release Reborn in Fire. Masterminded by former Dungeon guitarist and ESP clinician Stu Marshall, Empires of Eden is characterized by a massive power metal sound, 30-piece orchestral score, and guest performances from some of the most celebrated musicians in the industry.
