When or if the new album 'Modern Ruin' would be finally seeing the light of day at all was a big question with all the delays happening. But the day came with the beginning of a new year, particularly in January 2011 preceded by the ‘Lightbriinger’ EP, a collaboration with Swedish electronic duo NECRO FACILITY, it came out and presented COVENANT at their freshest and most inventive; maybe less catchy and more ambitious with a newly ignited eagerness for sonic experimentalism and emotions everywhere you look. In April, they’re now coming back to this world’s live stages with Duisburg & Frankfurt being two stages they intend to conquer on their journey.

Blutengel’s Vampire-Pop has grown up. The enchanting fantasy worlds that the Berlin-based dark dandies are famous for conjuring up have grown a great deal more personal on their new release “Tränenherz.” Thus sufficiently grounded, the stirring, catchy and pompous Electro-Pop-epics that dark and sonorous charmer Chris Pohl and his group have penned evolve into deeply moving experiences that are guaranteed to go under your skin.

The hard-to-categorise sound of Blast Radius can best be described as industrial/progressive. Based in Melbourne, Australia, and conceived in early 2005, the project has slowly evolved to the point it is at now - forging new ground in the industrial genre. The debut album, Define, Redefine, represents this ethos perfectly: melding elements of prominent noise and irregular, hard-hitting percussion with a unique focus on haunting, trancelike melodies, augmented by lush harmonic lines.
Seeking to move away from the establishment, Blast Radius injects new life into the genre with a distinctive, rich, flowing sound. Taking influence from trance, industrial, metal, and progressive alike, Define, Redefine's thirteen diverse, intricate tracks create a vivid sense of depth, and provide a refreshing alternative to the sometimes-rigid industrial styles.
