CHRISTMAS METAL SYMPHONY has revealed new names for their second 2009 edition. Jorn Lande (MASTERPLAN), Damian Wilson (THRESHOLD), Udo Dirkschneider (U.D.O., ACCEPT), Mats Levén (THERION, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) and Charlotte Wessels (DELAIN) will participate. This year the "Christmas Metal Symphony" show is set to take place on Sunday 20th December 2009 at 013 in Tilburg, Holland. As was the case with last year's event, the singers will be backed by a six-piece band and a 30-piece classical orchestra as they perform some of the finest heavy metal and hard rock songs of all time. This unique show will contain songs from all metal genres — from prog-metal to rock, from death to speed and from industrial to symphonic. More names will be announced soon.

Following an incredibly successful year, the Italian-born and now Berlin-based singer/songwriter MISSINCAT starts into the next round. In February she released her debut full-length ‘Back on my Feet’ to rave critics from fans and press alike. Furthermore, she created the music for a Nintendo commercial. PLUTONIUM ORANGE, the Finnish "melodic stonermetal" band which features in its ranks SWALLOW THE SUN members Juha Raivio (guitar & composer) and Pasi Pasanen (ex-drums), will release its debut album in November 11th via Firebox Records. The album titled "Volume" was recorded at Studio Watercastle with Sami Kokko and was mastered at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki by Mika Jussila.
