It has become the latest fashion for musicians: getting fans to play in their video. This time it's Placebo who are recruiting fans to star in the video for their newest single "Running Up That Hill", a cover of the famous Kate Bush song. Here is what should you do in order to feature in the video: submit single-camera video clips of yourself singing the Kate Bush cover. It's that simple. Fans can download an instrumental version (a very basic one) of the song and lyrics at Motionbox.com/placebo and later on upload their video there as well. Only the first 1,000 people who upload their clips will be eligible. The final video will be a montage of fans singing the song. The deadline for submissions is April 6, so start right now. In related news, Placebo have released an exclusive iTunes only download album of covers, entitled: "Covers" including material from Depeche Mode, The Smiths, The Pixies and so on. The disc was previously available as a bonus disc for the re-release of their album "Sleeping With Ghosts". The release follows the huge digital download demand for their cover of Kate Bush’s "Running Up That Hill".
