The band is busy again. Here's what they have to say:Rev Theory Faithfuls, This update is looooong overdue.but for good reason as we have some big news for all of you. As the sun set for the final time in 2006, we said goodbye to what was undoubtedly the most rewarding time to date in our young career. In the last year, we toured the U.S many times over, played to sold-out fans in 17 different countries, sold over 30,000 albums on the road at shows, and watched our first single, "Slowburn" soar into the top 25 in the active and modern rock radio charts. The accomplishments, relationships, and experiences that we encountered were absolutely priceless! We would like to sincerely thank all of you who helped us along our journey.
That being said, we've had many sleepless nights since we last wrote you in the top of the new year. We have spent our time together overcoming obstacles and soul-searching for how we want to take the next step in this special chapter of our lives. We have evolved as a band and as individuals, and we are now ready to further expand on our efforts as recording artists. We have a ton of killer new material and are about to start the recording of our new album to follow up 'Truth Is Currency'. If you haven't heard already, then we are very proud to say that our new album will also be our debut major label release.. Hot off the press - REVELATION THEORY and IDOL ROC have just inked a major deal to join forces with multi-platinum writer/producer Brian Howes (Hinder, Puddle of Mudd) and INTERSCOPE RECORDS. That's right, we are now part of the most powerful label in the world and we are going to work even harder to make our mark in this music game! So here's the plan..
We recently finished writing the album and will begin recording this week. We are recording the first 1/2 of our album at Pulse Studio in LA with the legendary JOSH ABRAHAM (Velvet Revolver, Linkin Park, Staind, 30 Seconds To Mars). After that, we join our good friends in Hinder, Papa Roach, and Buckcherry for the Bad Boys of Rock Tour that begins in Lima, OH on August 19th (full tour dates are listed on our myspace page). Shortly after the tour, we head up to Vancouver to finish the album with multi-platinum selling producer/writer, BRIAN HOWES (Hinder, Puddle of Mudd). Soon after the album is completed this fall, you will hear us on your local radio station with many tours to follow! We will keep you posted on an official release date and name of the album once we know. As for the next few months, we are going to revamp our Myspace page and feature various ways to communicate with our fans via posts, blogs, and even weekly video clips live from the studio. We want you to see what goes on behind the scenes (well, not everything!) and include all of you in this special experience while recording the album.
