19th February 2011
Combichrist, Mortiis, Amnistia

On the 19th of February, lovers of electronic music get an opportunity to enjoy the shows of three interesting electronic projects. The definite headliner of the evening, COMBICHRIST, is back to Russia after the successful tour with RAMMSTEIN to present, in addition to well-known hits, material off the new album, entitled ‘Making Monsters’. If previously the band was popular only on the electro-industrial scene, now it plays full house concerts and records tracks with famous rock musicians, preserving its irrepressible aggression and crazy energy. All shows of COMBICHRIST are full of adrenalin: powerful rhythms, an avalanche of electronic sounds and fierce vocals create an unforgettable atmosphere.

MORTIIS is a project of Håvard Ellefsen, bass player of cult Norwegian black metal formation EMPEROR and the new album of the project, ‘Perfectly Defect’, seems to combine some features of atmospheric ambient or strict industrial: viscous guitar sound, numerous spooky samples, vocal hysteria, diverse rhythmic pictures will please fans of such bands as NIN, SKINNY PUPPY and MARILYN MANSON. Those who like mere electronic music may know MORTIIS because of the remixes of songs by GOTHMINISTER or WUMPSCUT and also thanks to composition ‘Broken Skin’, recorded with Stephan Groth from APOPTYGMA BERZERK

German formation AMNISTIA plays classic EBM. The music of the duo seems to be inspired by such bands as FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY and SKINNY PUPPY, but the musicians don’t try to experiment too much, but create an a solid, even and accessible material. Today only few bands play such music and AMNISTIA is one of them.

COMBICHRIST and MORTIIS also play
18th February – St. Petersburg (Kosmonaut Club)
20th February – Ekaterinburg (Tele Club)
