WOLVESPIRIT is a retro rock outfit from Germany, formed in 2009 in Wurzburg. The band around singer Debbie Koye plays a 60/70 inspired mix of riff oriented hard rock with psychedelic outbursts. Debbie often reminds me of Dana Fuchs of ACROSS THE UNIVERSE fame. Over all I am not a fan of Debbie’s voice it becomes rather exhausting over the course of the album. Maybe because I am not a big fan of female fronted band`s (I prefer singing dudes) or maybe because the band image is so old school it seems fake.
Conclusion: Musically the whole band does a good job but this band is not my cup of tea (bottle of beer).Once again I’m rather satisfied with saying no more of the matter…
