Cinema Bizarre, Blowsight, Used to Remind
Looking at the long queue of people on the way to the Live Music Hall we thought this was going to get really packed and sweaty in there. Turns out we were completely wrong after getting in. The venue wasn’t half-filled I’d say, and that wouldn’t really change in the further course of the evening. But nobody really bothered for they’re all waiting for that special moment, but they would have to wait for that a little. First, it was time for two support bands to hit the stage.

VNV Nation, Rotersand & Solar Fake
On Sunday, 27th September we went to Dortmund to enjoy VNV NATION at their current tour who was supported by ROTERSAND and SOLAR FAKE. Also this show in the newly opened club was sold out. A huge queue was waiting outside to get in and when SOLAR FAKE started their show, lots of them were still waiting outside, even though the first band started later than announced.

Universal D.O.G, Lahr, GermanyDark Dance Treffen 31: Henke, Diorama, Reaper, Faderhead
On 26th September 2009, it was time fort he 31st edition of the Dark Dance Treffen in Lahr. On 2 floors, Europe’s biggest indoor event for the dark music scene offered seven live bands. This time, the festival would be headlined by Oswald Henke’s new band HENKE. Of course, there’s much more to tell but you better read it yourself.

D-A-D, Heaven’s Basement
Formed in the early 1980s, D-A-D was originally known as DISNEYLAND AFTER DARK. In 1985, the Copenhagen based Hard-Rock band released its debut EP. At the latest by recording the very successful long-player `No Fuel left for the Pilgrims´ the musicians attracted a big following and went on a world-wide tour including several concerts in the USA. However, the formation became a thorn in the side of the Walt Disney Company that claimed the band’s name for itself. Therefore, DISNEYLAND AFTER DARK had to be renamed to D-A-D. Up to now, D-A-D has recorded all in all 10 studio albums such as `Riskin´ It All´ (1991), `Everything Glows´ (2000) and `Soft Dogs´ (2002).
