Postpalast, Munich, Germany
14th January 2010
Deine Lakaien

At the outset of the second part of their acoustic tour, DEINE LAKAIEN played in the Postpalast in Munich. It was the only concert of their tour which was sold out not completely but still attracted approx. 1,000 guests.

Ernst Horn, a qualified conductor who was leading the orchestra of the Karlsruhe Opera, and Alexander Veljanov, who studied theatrical sciences, founded DEINE LAKAIEN in Munich in 1985. Besides, two musically worlds met: Veljanov tended to Punk, New Wave and Gothic, while Horn was inspired rather by opera, folk and Mediaeval music. These directions prove together the unmistakeable and exciting mixture for which DEINE LAKAIEN is known since then. In the meantime, they appeared even already together with orchestra. http://www.deine-lakaien.com/

Music & Performance
On time about 8:30 PM, Ernst Horn and Alexander Veljanov entered the stage which was only equipped with piano, chair and microphone. During the next 1 ½ hours, they persuaded the audience with an acoustic presentation of older songs, as well as of songs that will come up on their forthcoming album. The listeners in the hall considered the band with blustering applause after every song. Ernst Horn was convincing by his virtuosity and nearly unbelievable control of his instrument, Veljanov by his urgent and unmistakeable voice which might probably have gone through every visitor completely.

After the additions, the listeners went home and the enthusiasm about the creative acoustic conversion of the songs known to them might still remain in their minds for quite a while very positively. A really successful evening!
