Amphi Festival 2009 Day 2 Theater: Camouflage, The Gathering, KMFDM, Henke, Qntal, Omnia, Jesus On Extasy, The Other, Rosa Crvx
Different than planned, the program of the second stage has been transferred to the Theater stage for the already known reasons. Luckily, entrance into the Theater went smooth, but very soon there was a big delay in the schedule not only caused by two musicians of QNTAL who were stuck into traffic jams. So, at the end, KMFDM and FRONT 242 were playing at the same time - different than planned - much to the dislike of many attendees. With the show of CAMOUFLAGE, the festival found a very good end anyway.

Gothic Festival 2009 Day 2: DAF, Blutengel, The Klinik, Diorama, Henke, Winterkälte, The Birthday Massacre, Spiritual Front, Lacrimas Profundere, Monolith, Miss Construction, XMH
After we had celebrated quite a little during the night before, we were quite tired when we arrived at the festival area at around twelve. Thanks to the best merch guys ever (you know who you are) we got some good and strong coffee to wake up and so we were perfectly prepared for the bands to come during the day. Personnel highlights for me were THE KLINIK, DIORAMA, BIRTHDAY MASSACRE and DAF.

Gothic Festival 2009 Day 3: Gary Numan, IAMX, Apoptygma Berzerk, Welle:Erdball, Hocico, Specimen, Client, IC 434, Scary Bitches, Hedera Helix, Lizard Smile, Curse of the Vampire
Today was the day when I finally should see GARY NUMAN, someone I always missed and never had seen on stage before. So, I was looking very much forward the very last band of the festival. But of course, this day had much more to offer… IAMX, APOPTYGMA BERZERK with the last time featuring Geir Bratland on keys, WELLE:ERDBALL or HOCICO. With several Goth bands, there was also something for the lovers of more guitar influenced music.

Sonisphere Festival 2009: Dead by April, Adept, The International Noise Conspiracy, Lamb of God, Cradle of Filth, Mastodon, The Hives, Metallica
The touring Sonisphere festival landed in Hultsfred, Sweden on Saturday the 16th of July on what at first looked like to be a sunny and really warm day - but we all know how deceiving the Swedish summer can be and usually are. MySpace users from more than 80 countries was involved with recommending totally 1,500 bands, 20 finalist bands were chosen and then the MySpace users voted on which band was the most worthy of winning the price and play on the Sonisphere festival with METALLICA. ADEPT won and they were of course very happy with so many people discovering them and their music and that so many people had voted on them.

Thrash and Burn Tour: DevilDriver, Despised Icon, Emmure, Oceano, Thy Will Be Done
California, the state of sunshine and heat, everything else pretty much tries its best to make itself known some way or another. There is one thing that California is grateful to have though, which is music. This isn't your average music let me tell you, this music will surely drive you over the edge of destruction. One act that has given their rights and dedication to creating music has given California a favour by being asked to fill in as the headliners for the second annual “Thrash and Burn Tour 2009”. DEVILDRIVER has been together for sometime now releasing upon the masses four albums to date and shall not be forgotten not by a long shot.
