After a short night again we did choose the breakfast in the MORITZBASTEI because it's really a nice location, located central in the city and a good thing to start the day and meet friends. After the breakfast I went to the KOHLRABIZIRKUS and spent the day mostly there.

At Saturday we started the day with a long breakfast in the MORITZBASTEI, met some friends there, visited the medieval market and enjoyed the fancifully styled people in the city centre. Later we did a stop in the KUPPELHALLE - a very nice baroque outfitted old fair hall with chandeliers, balconies and several tables and seats. Here we joined the show of IN THE NURSERY.

Ragnarök Festival Day 2: ELEXORIEN, TRIMONIUM, TROLLFEST, WOLFCHANT, XIV DARK CENTURIES, BATTLELORE, HELRUNAR, ARKONA, MENHIR, HAGGARD
The night was relatively short but I was ready for this day after a nice and warm shower and a real good breakfast in our hostel. Still some time remained for the first interesting band ELEXORIEN so I was able to have a brief overview of the festival area and the city. The majority of cars on the roadside seemed relatively unharmed for this night however the pavement in the city mediated another sight I could spot everything from broken beer bottles to camping equipment and torn out street poles and even the garbage vastly piled on the street. This view was not really a nice thank for the residents.

Whitsun 2008 - like every year, about 20.000 Gothics came to Leipzig in the east of Germany to celebrate one of the most important meetings of the European Gothic scene, the 17th WAVE GOTIK TREFFEN. The gathering is more than a normal festival, it's more like a big family meeting, the people came from all over the world to meet old friends, looking for new friends, looking at the fantastic outfits of the other people, demonstrate their own outfits (purchased or self created) and of course to enjoy a lot of bands of different styles from all over the world too.

Hexentanz Festival: Subway to Sally, Diary of Dreams, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Scream Silence
The witches were dancing again at the third Hexentanz Festival. For the first time on two festival days, the top acts of the medieval rock scene were gathering at the Bostalsee in Nohfelden to bring the masses to a boil. As we were in Paris for the DIARY OF DREAMS show on the first festival day, we only had the chance to attend the small festival on the second day…
