Album Review

A first attempt at anything comes in various doubts for ENOCHIAN THEORY from the U.K. A ton of musical acts have came from that terrain so what makes these guys think they stand a chance with their debut efforts? There are chances of succeeding within the music world I suppose which brings us to ‘Evolution Creatio Ex Nihilio’, a round-off of 13-tracks of progressive rock n roll music. For being a three piece act they have a huge sound base that never gives up. It just manages to build and build until its standing above all the rest. When it comes to breaking down this debut you get tossed a handful of worth tunes but which is actually worth listening in on? The three part epic that is ‘The Dimensionless Monologue’ tends to take up most of your time this trilogy starting off the album trying to draw you in. Which it does, from time to time making the music that more interesting...

The vocal chords take up a death metal sound with screams heard on and off then relapsing into a melodic tone with an aggressive side to it that smoothes it all out. As far as guitars go, they present themselves loud and clear as a bell the creative riffs building upon one another as a solo breaks through on top of the riff making the music fall flat not being so easy listening and enjoyable as it first started. Going onward with the remainder of the album you get a handful of tunes that make up for the lack of time that the trilogy held up. For instance ‘Movement’ and ‘After the Movement’, both go hand in hand no problem each delivering an essence of music that really captures this band's abilities. To sum this all up is simple, ‘Evolution Creation Ex Nihilio’ by ENOCHIAN THEORY is worthy of a listen one time through if you got for a second round of it, you'll be drown in a pool of pure amazement.
