INNOCENT ROSIE was formed in 2005 in Varberg, Sweden. They pretty much kick started their career with making a successful demo, toured around in Europe and in 2007 they got a record contract with Swedmetal Records. As if this were not enough they have also been on tour in the US and played at the legendary Rock club “Whisky a Go-Go” in Los Angeles even before they had made their first real record. In the beginning of 2008, they released the music video for the song ‘Knock Me Out’ and it became a great success. Now their debut album ‘Bad Habit Romance’ is finally here.
‘Bad Habit Romance’ begins with the song ‘Bitter Cocktail’ and this is a good song with a great instrumental part in the end that I just really enjoy! ‘Knock Me Out’ was the first song / video to be released from this album and it is a cool and catchy song. ‘I'm A Vibe’ is one of my favourite songs on the record; I like the rhythm and the edge in this one. It has a cool part in the end when the music kind of falls away and Oscar sings beautifully in a way that I would like to hear more of in the future. Last but not least on the record is ‘Left Alone’; it is a song with a powerful music intro, good music and lyric.
INNOCENT ROSIE has made a really strong debut album with good and interesting songs. The sound on ‘Bad Habit Romance"’is very much Rock but added to the sound is also a lot of attitude, edge and humour. Oscar Kaleva's voice is really good and works very well with the music. This record is a really strong debut and I look forward to hear and see how the songs works live!
