If angels would ever play industrial they would surely play something like NEIKKA RPM. NEIKKA RPM is a New York based project, formed back in 2001 by two strangers Dominique and Richard. The whole story started on the St. Valentine's day. Maybe this is the reason, why their music is full of obsession. ‘Chain Letters’ is the third studio album by the project, and the first record since 2006. Just something really beautiful and joyful is worth to be waited so long. And so it is. Imagine a deep blue mountain lake among the rocks. If usually electronic music sounds like you're under the water and beats do exactly what “to beat” means, so they beat your ears, it is totally different with NEIKKA RPM. The sounds are on the even blue surface of the water and they are reflecting from water and rocks.
Plus there is an angel's voice that leads your conscience trough this musical canyon. The album is one long song, tracks are connected to each other and flow one out the another. Sometimes there is more dynamics (‘Thrust’), sometimes it leads you to astral with kind of electronic sax (‘Mind on the Trigger’), mostly a woman whispers in your ear (‘Wish You Were Here’) and sometimes there's a male voice, which cruelly returns you to the earth (‘Kingdom Of Fire’). In general listening to the album you become an impression of watching the battle of the good and the evil of the dark and the light and so on. The beautiful and bright side wins without any doubt, and rays of light are shooting from the pulsing dark womb. So right after listening to the album, send it at least to five of your friends!
