Four years after their last release ‘Perlen vor die Säue’, the German duo SCHNEEWITTCHEN released their new album ‘Keine Sekunde Schweigen’. Well known for their extraordinary variety and their artistic composing that ranges over from Pop to Darkwave and Gothic Rock, the new album will reach the fans, for sure. Distinctive vocals swinging between the raspy voice of NINA HAGEN and the tender voice of i.e. AnNa R. of ROSENSTOLZ are one of the highlights on this album. It’s quite interesting to listen to such a diversified chant. Unfortunately, the lyrics and occasionally even the music ooze with pathetic terms that this combination doesn’t work for me at all. There’s a fine line between a music that is made with emotional background or that is made in such an artistic way by hook or by crook, that it’s just exaggerated. Could well be that I’m not the right person to address to - but in my opinion, this release is quite interesting awhile but then there’s a chance that it’s getting on your nerves… Sorry, guys!
