Album Review

After two years of intense production work, PROSPECTIVE return with their brand-new album. Their first album ‘The Dark Side of Life’ was recognized as a solid debut of a young band that was orientating themselves on bands like L’ÂME IMMORTELLE. Well, two years later - what happened? Their label promises: “Improved harshness and strictly club-oriented tracks embedded in a harmonious diversity of sounds will let you dive into the world of PROSPECTIVE.”

Unfortunately, I cannot see any evolution in this…! Don’t let me be misunderstood… some tracks are rather nice and the female voice is quite comfortable. What really is disturbing is the massive overload of really cheap synthesizers-sounds which beyond that are often drowning out the singing parts. As a keyboarder myself, it’s like being stabbed in the back. So much the worse that all the remixes really show what club-oriented tracks could sound like. But if you want L’ÂME IMMORTELLE… honestly, buy the original!
