2011 has been a great year for the Danish Industrial metal band THE INTERBEING. With the release of the praised debut album ‘Edge of the Obscure’, the band has positioned themselves as one of the most noteworthy new acts on the Danish metal scene. Now the band has been handpicked to play the Metal Hammer UK showcase to be held at SXSW festival in Austin, Texas this year. The editor of Metal Hammer, Alexander Milas, has stated: ”We have deemed them to be of immense international import”.
Dara Toibin from The Interbeing says: “To be invited by Metal Hammer to play at SXSW is the biggest thing that has happened to us in The Interbeing so far. It’s a huge thing for us and we are very excited and inspired to leave our mark at the festival. It’s also our first trip to the US, so in addition this is a landmark of a show with the furthest distance from our origin in Denmark. We hope that this opportunity will open some doors for us as to entering the American market, and we’ll harvest the results of this experience to the fullest. Can’t wait to shatter a stage on US soil. See you there.”
The showcase with will take place at Dirty Dog Bar on Thursday, March 15th from 09:00 PM, and will also feature artists like Skinred, Audrey Horne and Shining.
