Metal Town capacity increased by 150 slots
It’s probably a good idea to reserve your slot now if you’re looking to camp out in Metal Town this year. The initial 350 slots have been filled so we’ve decided to increase the total capacity to 500. Metal Town is the perfect solution for visitors looking to enjoy a nice few hours of comfortable rest after a day of musical violence. You can either spend the night in a Festihut or simply rent a slot for your campervan, caravan or tent. Metal Town is situated at 1km from the festival arena and thanks to the frequent shuttle buses, the festival arena, the town centre of Dessel and Mol train station are within easy reach.
As before, a full package of facilities is available to make your stay in Metal Town as enjoyable as possible. Breakfast is served in the breakfast tent between 8am and noon and, by popular request, we’re adding a stall this year where you can order French fries, pasta or pizza. The bar is open between 8am and 2am and sells all manner of cold drinks and beverages.
Metal Town has its own sanitary cluster including hot showers and toilets with water flush. We’re also adding more toilets this year to keep the morning queues down to a minimum and there’s also a special toilet and shower for wheelchair users. Go to www.graspop.be/en/info/metaltown for more info on Metal Town. If you’re not spending the night in Metal Town you’re more than welcome to pitch your tent at the festival campsite situated next to the Metal Plaza. The price for your festival ticket includes campsite access so there’s no extra charge. For more info on the campsite go to http://www.graspop.be/en/info/campsite
Graspop Tokens available until 1st May
Our Graspop tokens pay for both food and drink. Graspop tokens are 2.5€/pc on the day and 2.35€/pc when bought in advance so it’s in your own best interest to buy your tokens before the festival. Don’t dawdle because we’re down to the last 5,000 packages and you only have till Thursday 1st May!
Attend your favourite metal festival as a VIP
At the entrance, festival VIPs are greeted with a goody bag including the festival guide as well as a drink and bite to eat in the VIP lounge, where you can take a breather from the day’s headbanging activities. There’s a shaded terrace with view of both main stages, toilets, token machines and a bar of course. Who knows, you may even bump into an artist or two.
