This year, we have a world-renowned group headlining Friday evening: Laibach, who have been enjoying a world-wide cult-status and an ever-growing fan-base for more than three decades. Press-darling and cult-act Rummelsnuff, French fetish-art-project Die Form, the Belgian Electronic-Body-Music-pioneers Absolute Body Control and the German Dark-Electro-veterans The Invincible Spirit in the line-up should make the first day a dream come true for anyone who has been following the scene for awhile, as it plays out almost like a gathering of legends. Formalin, one of the best “next generation”-bandsFormalin will kick off the Friday in style with a modernized reinvention of the old school sound.
Saturday is under the sign of the harsh and modern styles of electronic music. Berlin-based aggro-specialists Agonoize and Mexican berzerkers Hocico, two of the most famous and successful acts of the harder end of the electronic spectrum share the pole position and will make sure that the concert venue and all people in it receive a good pounding. Before them, Heimataerde will be combining Medieval music with heavy electronic beats and massive guitar riffs, while Cephalgy will fuse solid beats and dark atmosphere, Too Dead To Die will hit the Dance Floor with their explosive sound and Miss Construction will turn the Astra Kulturhaus into a Zombie Disco.
Sunday, we have multiple highlights for you, as well. Apoptygma Berzerk will provide a fitting headliner with their unique and addictive mix of Future-Pop, Eighties-sounds, club-appeal and a hint of Alternative-Rock-sensibility. Right before them, Hamburg-based Goth-Metal-group Lord Of The Lost will captivate the audience with a special acoustic show featuring a chamber orchestra. Before this, CHROM will be cooking up some dance floor compatible sounds with their trademark Melodic Electro, while Client will be luring you in with their catchy minimalist Electronica-Pop-appeal (their music even made Depeche Mode's Andy Fletcher an instant believer.) Spiritual Front shall conjure up a decadent cabaret-feeling in the style of old Tinto-Brass-movies and Angels & Agony will be opening the evening with classic Future-Pop-sounds.
Topping off the weekend will be aftershow parties with renowned DJs and a versatile offering of food and drinks in the venue. All of this and more will make the Out Of Line Weekender THE community celebration not to miss out on! The other festivals are just festivals... the Weekender is family! ...and where else can you get such a massive line up for less than 20€ per day (calculated from the price of a weekend ticket)? Join the fun in 2015!
