On the 5th & 6th July 2008 a new event called Blackfield Festival takes place for the first time at the grandiose and already festival proved Amphitheatre in Gelsenkirchen and comes up with a consistent concept, fair prices and a exciting line-up.With NITZER EBB promoters could engage pioneers of electronic music as headliner, who will present songs from the new album for the first time there. LACRIMOSA also confirmed their appearance. SCHANDMAUL and SUBWAY TO SALLY enchant their audience for years now with their mixture of rock, combined with medieval respectively classic instruments. The last releases of both bands entered the Media Control Charts at the Top Ten. But also the other already named bands promise a great live experience and round off a felicitous festival program, that will come up with more surprises in the next months and will lure fans from all directions to Gelsenkirchen.
