The festival still is on record course and according to the organizers, the response of the fans is overwhelming. With bands like UNHEILIG, SUBWAY TO SALLY, or OOMPH! there will be something from the corner of dark rock music on one hand, and on the other hand fans of the electro genre will be blessed with a Best-Of set of FRONT 242.

The last breaking news, however, came from UNHEILIG. With the new single 'Geboren um zu Leben', Der Graf created a hit par excellence, conquering the charts and thus, your souls easily. The new album 'Große Freiheit' will be released into the cold neon lights of record store shelves on 19th February 2010.

But also OOMPH! have something new up their sleeves. On 26th February, they're going to release their first English-tongued album. The band produced 16 of their most successful songs completely from scratch again and translated the lyrics into English. The video clip to 'Ready Or Not' already had its successful premier on Myspace. But back to the festival - there are still some free slots within the line-up, and we still want to keep up the tension for a while. So far the following bands are confirmed for the Blackfield Festival 2010:

• FRONT 242 (exkl. BEST-OF SHOW)
• UNHEILIG
• SUBWAY TO SALLY
• OOMPH
• DEATHSTARS
• SALTATIO MORTIS
• VIVE LA FETE
• [:SITD:]
• S.P.O.C.K
• DIORAMA
• ZEROMANCER
• GIRLS UNDER GLASS
• AESTHETIC PERFECTION
• TYSKE LUDDER

These are 16 of 20 bands who will put the audience under their spell with dark sounds in the beautiful scenery of the amphi theatre in Gelsenkirchen.
