In the year 1980 the band Grave Digger was founded in Gladbeck. During that time no one could imagine how pioneering the band would be during their career for the metal-scene. 30 years later, the band that never lost the bound to their fans, will play an exclusively and unique show at W:O:A 2010.

The main-focus of the show will be on their most sucessfull album “Tunes Of War” from 1996, which appears in a trilogy with “Knights Of The Cross” and “Excalibur”. The topic of the album is about the scottish history and the battles between celtic and english people in the 11th century untill the riot of the Jacobins during the 18th century. Not only it gave the band their first chart entry, but “Tunes Of War” also gave the band an honorary membership of the scottish Cavanaugh-Clan.

For the very first time the entire album will be performed in ints original way. To draw attention to the look of the stage there will be an elaborate stage-concept and a special pyroshow with a lot of famous guest-appearances: The Baul Muluy Pipes & Drum band from Hamburg, but also the queen of metal Doro Pesch, Hansi Kürsch of Blind Guardian and the A-Capella ensemble Van Canto will support Grave Digger with all their energy. That will make the gig into a remakable event.

It will be the first and the last time Grave Digger perform the album live in its entirety. The bonus to all of this will be hits like “Ballad Of A Hangman”, “Heavy Metal Breakdown” or “Excalibur”.
