Dear SUMMER BREEZE Community,

we're on a roll! Only a short time after we could proclaim "SOLD OUT!" we are able to announce that all 95 bands that will rock SUMMER BREEZE Open Air 2010 are now booked.

So now we can proudly present none other than the grand masters and initiators of grindcore, the mighty NAPALM DEATH:

It was seven long years ago that NAPALM DEATH laid SUMMER BREEZE to waste the last time. In 2010, the inventors of grindcore have lost none of their clout and inimitable aggression. Best proof is their latest album "Time Waits For No Slave', which is a right kick in the teeth for all younger contenders. With this band, there is only one thing you can do, whether you are part of the audience or a fellow musician: look up to them! It's nice to see that it is actually possible to exist in this genre for over 20 years without compromising one bit. Their success proves them right! Get ready for some immortal grindcore classics!

In addition, we are happy to welcome DISBELIEF, VAN CANTO, INME and JOHNNY & THE HOT RODS in Dinkelsbühl.

Accordion and metal? It works, you shall see for yourselves! Those of you who have been following the announcements surrounding SUMMER BREEZE attentively will have noticed that we are still five bands short of the promised 100 bands playing the festival. Please read the following section about the NEW BLOOD AWARD 2010 to find out why:

After over 2,000 submissions - a big "thank you" to all participating bands by the way - and never ending hours of preselection, we are now able to unveil the NEW BLOOD AWARD 2010's TOP 20.

On http://www.new-blood-award.de/ you will find the 20 groups that made it into the online voting under "The Bands". From now on, it is solely up to you which five lucky bands we will see in August in beautiful Dinkelsbühl!

These are the rules to vote:
-each one of the 20 bands has to be rated
-the scale for voting goes from 1 (awful) to 5 (awesome)
-only registered members of the http://www.summer-breeze.de/ community are entitled to vote
-voting ends on 13.06.2010
-among all the votes cast we will give away 5x two 3-day-tickets for SUMMER BREEZE Open Air 2010

The Top 5 bands resulting from the voting will open proceedings on the Party Stage on the afternoon of August 18, 2010, competing to win the NEW BLOOD AWARD, which will be given away for the first time this year. In addition, the winning band will kick off the open air portion of the festival on Thursday, August 19, 2010 on one of the two main stages, and will also get a deal with Brainstorm Promotions.

So don't waste any more time and go voting! The underground is more alive than ever! And if your band didn't make it this year, don't worry, there will certainly be a NEW BLOOD AWARD 2011!
