The finalists for the NEW BLOOD AWARD 2010, who complete the billing for this year's SUMMER BREEZE Open Air 2010, have been announced! Despite the planned five participants, there will be six bands competing against each other instead. The reason being that the result of the voting was so close that we had to get a sixth band into the finals. The following six underground bands got the most votes from you in our recent online voting:BLEEDING RED

On August 18, 2010 starting at 15:30, these bands will open the proceedings for SUMMER BREEZE 2010 in the Party Tent in front of a qualified jury and you, the fans, competing for the first-ever NEW BLOOD AWARD and the opening slot on one of the main stages the day after.

Those who wonder who or what exactly is the SURPRISE ACT due to appear on the Main Stage at 20:10 will unfortunately have to wait until that very date and time! A surprise is a surprise and shouldn't be spoiled in advance! Let us just say this much: There hasn't been a performance like this at any German metal festival ever before! Be prepared for an intense show, even without heavy riffs!
Due to current events (Football World Cup, endless discussions in our forum), please be advised that vuvuzelas are not allowed on the whole festival site (camp site + concert area)! We can't think of one positive effect the allowance of this “instrument” would have on SUMMER BREEZE. Let the guitars do the talking instead of some unnerving horns. Those who wish to sleep at the camp site should also be able to. So please leave your vuvuzelas at home, as our security personnel has been instructed to confiscate and dispose of them.
