German thrashers Dew Scented have set "Issue VI" as the title of their new album, due in Europe on June 20. North American and Japanese release dates have not yet been announced. That is what Nuclear Blast [ublished on their website. The follow-up to 2003's "Impact" was recorded at Stage One studios in Borgentreich, Germany with producer Andy Classen (Callenish Circle, Tankard, Occult). Classen, who produced the previous Dew Scented albums "Inwards" (2002) and "Impact," "did an outstanding job and definitely managed to deliver his best production (for us, at least...) ever!", the band write on their website. "We look forward to sharing these new songs with everybody!"

Another newsfact from Nuclear Blast. Besides the releaseday of the new record of Dew Scented there was news from the blackmetalband Dimmu Borgir.Despite last week's denial by Nuclear Blast that Mayhem's drummer will not be featured on Dimmu Borgir's next album, Silenoz has confirmed that Hellhammer's talents will actually be incorporated in their next release. Here's his statement on the band's forum:
"To get this rumor bullshit out of the way, we confirm that mercenary Hellhammer will be doing the drums for us as a session member on the next album. And that's that."

Season of Mist is proud to announce the signing of the progressive doom-metal legends, Confessor! Canadian death metallers Kataklysm have cancelled their participation in the X-Mass Festivals 2005 European tour this December. In an official press release, the band blame the cancellation on "the simple reason that the new album will not be ready in time to coincide with" the trek and "it made no sense" to do the tour. Instead, Kataklysm have confirmed that they will take part in the No Mercy Festivals 2006, to be followed by a series of dates across Europe.
