Nils, André and Soren met in a previous band project and soon realized how well their ideas fit together according their own sounds. The three left the previous project and founded the band BEYOND OBSESSION in 2012. After having just completed an exclusive and sold-out club tour across five German cities, BIRDY will be back again during fall to play seven additional shows for her fans. Her current record `Beautiful Lies´ reached the top ten of the charts and her concerts have proven that sometimes it doesn't take much to create a beautifully calm and at the same intense mood. It's not with a gigantic stage show that BIRDY puts her audience under a spell, but with her charismatic voice and virtuosic piano playing.

Quite recently in a stab of nostalgia I was rereading some old reviews of the dark scene and among others I chanced on the Coroner’s reviews of the series of albums by GOETHES ERBEN. And dark romantic cover arts, Oswald’s column “Henke Trocken” in Orkus magazine, painfully familiar tunes to the hits ‘Ich liebe Schmerzen’, ‘Vermisster Traum’, ‘Glasgarten’ returned to my memory. In the series of articles published lately, which were devoted to the brief classification of the styles on the dark scene, GOETHES ERBEN have been defined as the founders of the European darkwave, and it is beyond controversy. Also Goethes Erben helped me to discover such genre-branch as NDT.
