As the artist’s Facebook site reports, the singer is dead: “January 10 2016 - David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. LES TAMBOURS DU BRONX are an industrial percussion band that has been around since 1987. Their first performance was meant to be a single event and now it has been 28 years that the exception is replayed every night. “This 16-head industrial monster,” as one can read on their website “has been spreading its rage and its sound over every continent. This herd of individualities has irrigated every country with its sweat, this horde with its animal-like look has raged on every stage.” For example, they have supported Jimmy Page and Robert Plant (LED ZEPPELIN) at the Festival of Roskilde in 1995 and KORN at the Sziget festival in 2005 and joined SEPULTURA for a common show at the Rock in Rio festival.- Details

Dynamo Metalfest with Life of Agony, Powerwolf, Audrey Horne, Sacred Reich, Metal Church, At the Gates, Textures, Anthrax
The success of the first edition of Dynamo Metalfest 2015 was overwhelming. This semi open air festival provides different flavours of metal: some new, some old, some trash, death and Hardcore metal will serve the Dutch audience on this hopefully sunny summer day. The line-up of this debut festival was quite impressive with names such as ARCH ENEMY, DEATH ANGEL and BIOHAZARD. A proper follow up list of bands has been announced for this year as well with LIFE OG AGONY, POWERWOLF, AUDREY HORNE, SACRED REICH, METAL CHIRCH, AT THE GATES, TEXTURES and ANTHRAX. Early bird tickets for 2016 have already sold out.

KORN is known as one of the legendary founders of the nu-metal genre. With their estranging, dark and most of all rock-hard combination of metal and hip-hop they inspire bands such as LIMP BIZKIT and SLIPKNOT. And more importantly: the band still evolves into new directions. For ‘The Path of Totality’ (2011) they worked with SKRILLEX and other EDM artists. After the celebration of their 20-year existence, a new album of KORN is expected in 2016 – All children of the KORN unite!

The “heaviest day in the park” festival is back with a two-day edition of FortaRock Festival. Again, the event takes place at the Goffertpark in Nijmegen. The line-up of the past editions has been impressive with names such as MOONSPELL (2009), FEAR FACTORY (2010), MACHINE HEAD (2011), LAMB OF GOD (2012), MOTÖRHEAD (2013), RAMMSTEIN (2013), IRON MAIDEN (2014) and SLIPKNOT (2015). Each year, the festival presents a broad range of metal from classic doom metal to black metal and Metalcore. FortaRock 2016 takes place on Sat/Sun 4-5 June in the Goffertpark in Nijmegen, The Netherlands
