Castle Rock 2011: Moonspell, Zeromancer, Merciful Nuns, Leichenwetter, Oomph!, Crematory, Megaherz, Van Canto, Lord Of The Lost, Golden Apes, Stahlmann
Mülheim’s Castle Rock festival, meanwhile advanced to cult status, enters its twelfth year in 2011 and also in the new year will come up with a top line-up leaving nothing to be desired for fans of darkly romantic rock music and brachial sounds. On the first day of the festival, spreading over 2 days the focus is placed on dark, guitar tinged sounds. The day is going to be headlined by no one less than MOONSPELL who are reported to be working on a new album currently and who knows; maybe the audience at Castle Rock will get to hear some new neck breakers. From the North there will be ZEROMANCER with their very own blend of melancholy Industrial Rock with which they’re sure as hell going to rock the castle’s yard with everything therein.

Founding as THE DEATH CULT in the early 1980s, a post-punk outfit, the band gained some recognition with their special kind of sound, later on shifting more towards a hard-rock influenced compound, starting with their third album ‘Electric’ with coinciding international success, mostly cracking into the American market. Amongst others, THE CULT have been touring as support for the likes of BILLY IDOL or THE WHO. Also their music has been used in movies.
