Simple Minds

The SIMPLE MINDS are a New Wave and Rock band from Glasgow, which was founded in 1978. Since 1979, the band has sold more than 30 million recordings. With 'Belfast Child', a song which picks out as a central theme the Northern Ireland conflict, they reached place 1 of the single charts in Great Britain. But also with songs as for example ‘Don't You (Forget About Me)' or 'Waterfront', they reached the international breakthrough. Their latest album 'Graffiti Soul' appeared in May 2009.

Mike & the Mechanics

MIKE & THE MECHANICS are a British rock band which was founded in 1985. The band is the project of the songwriter and GENESIS guitarist Mike Rutherford. In 2000, singer Paul Young passed away. Till then the band already published five albums and had some hits as for example 'All I Need Is A Miracle' from their first album or 'Word Of Mouth', 'Over My Shoulder' and 'Another Cup Of Coffee' from their second album. After the death of Paul Young the future of MIKE & THE MECHANICS was unclear for a long time.

Mr. Big

MR. BIG is an US-American Hard-Rock band which was originally founded in 1988. After the band resolved in 2002, there was a reunion in 2009. Founding member Billy Sheehan is surely one of the best bassists in the Hard-Rock / Heavy Metal scene. Other band members are singer Eric Martin, guitarist Paul Gilbert and drummer Pat Torpey. They had their breakthrough with their second album ‘Lean Into It’, and particularly with the single coming from it ‘To Be With You’, in 1991.

Dick Brave & The Backbeats

The band DICK BRAVE & THE BACKBEATS was invented at the end of 2002 by popular German musician SASHA. The name’s inspired by NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS. The band attracted first attention with the album ‘Dick This’, a rockabilly album that would become widely popular, not least because of SASHA’s status as a musician, but there’s always been a certain fun factor to the band’s music and they were sure to reproduce the energy of the songs on stage as well. It is very safe to assume they’re going to do that again when hitting Bochum in early June.
